Of China mechanical doll Part 1
South-pointing chariot (also known as South-pointing chariot).
It is said that it was invented in China around 2,600 BC, but it seems to be 100-200 BC. The gear mechanism is devised so that the hermit on the car always points to the south.

It is said that it was introduced to Japan during the time of Emperor Tenji (665), but now only words such as Shinanban and Shinansho remain. What kind of gear mechanism was a problem in the history of technology has not yet been solved.
