Of China mechanical doll Part 2
It is an ancient Chinese karakuri called "Kirikosha". Used as a pair with a South-pointing chariot, it measures the process and measures the land. It is said that the technicians used their will to make measuring instruments, and the ruler focused their wisdom on how to use them.
There is a theory that it was used in the war, but it seems that it actually showed the authority of the emperor to the world. In Japan, the "Karakuri car" that Ino Tadataka used to survey and walk in Japan is famous. It is said that it became the etymology of "Kiriageru", "Kiriyoshi", "Kirinai" and so on.
